Hillary scored with three big statements this week:
1. On the stump in Pennsylvania she said that she is "going the distance" - going to stay in the race through the convention - great news for the media and for Republicans everywhere.
2. “You don’t choose your family, but you choose what church you want to attend.” Brilliant.
3. "I misspoke," about being fired at by a sniper in Bosnia. Completely understandable. Being fired at by a sniper is so common that's it's easy to mis-remember it! She went on to say, "I made a mistake and, you know, I had a different memory. And you know, my staff and others have, you know, all kind of come together trying to sort out. So I made a mistake. That happens. It proves I am human, which you know, for some people, is a revelation."

This is just so "Clinton-esque" - I feel like I'm back in the 90's again. These people just CANNOT tell the truth - no matter what. It's like some sort of disease or something.
I cannot wait for the late night talk shows to rip her - this ought to be good for several days of humor.
I predict this will be the final undoing of her - she's losing credibility every day.
Can't wait for someone to ask her the meaning of "is"!
It would have made no difference if she was fired at by a sniper, or not... ie It's not like anyone would say, "Has she been fired at by a sniper? No? Well she's not getting my vote."
Lieing at all is a bad mark on someone's character. But when someone lies in a way that is completely random, and to a huge group of people on several occasions no less, is just scary. It just shows that she has about no moral compass at all... imho
Agreed. She was obviously trying to trumpet her foreign policy "experience" - which she would have been able to do simply by referring to a trip to Bosnia in and of itself. By trying to make it more than it was, she lost any value from the reference. Just bizarre.
FYI - Leno made fun of her for this statement last night. Doesn't take long, does it?
What does one do when you can not believe in or accept any of the candidates and all the garbage that goes on with them? They can not tell the truth, they seemed to be liked for what they look like and not what they stand for.
Who do you vote for? It is our right and privilege and responsibility to vote
Vote for Ron Paul - he's on the ballot in every state at least for the primaries - let the GOP know that you want small government, a sound fiscal policy, a smaller federal budget, less government encroachment on our liberties, an end to global interventionism, and our troops home from Iraq, lower taxes on the way to no taxes. Vote early and vote often!
There will probably be a Libertarian candidate on the ballot for the general election that will line up with Ron Paul on the issues.
Is it a throw away vote? I guess... if you want to look at it that way, but like you said Lyn... Principles are principles, right?
