Day and Night

I watched most of the GOP debate tonight from Boca Raton, FL. I had a couple of thoughts: (1) its 4 degrees in Indianapolis – I wish I was in Boca, (2) there was no pettiness and infighting as there was in Democrat debate, (3) each GOP candidate represented himself well – poised, informed, forward-looking, and solution oriented.

The contrast between what was seen tonight and what was seen of the Democrats the other night was like day and night.

I agree with your comments comparing last night's GOP debate with the Dem's debate earlier this week. Sort of like the difference between adults discussing their differences and children fighting in the school yard. I keep harkening back to the "politics of personal destruction" practiced by B. Clinton's cronies in the '90s - and here we see it once again with another Clinton involved. Policy aside - I just cannot imagine four more years of that type of approach to political discourse should Hillary get elected.

As for Rush - my take would be that it is his way of expressing his frustration with the lack of a conservative we all can agree to rally around. At the end of the day though - I would take any of the GOP candidates over either Hillary or Obama. And, I imagine Rush will too.

Great call out. It is amazing the difference between the two. I have been reading up (and watching interviews) on the whole Bill Clinton effect on the democratic party. Many Dem's are getting really upset with the raw personal destruction tactics being used. In a way I don't feel sorry for them. They had no problem with this when they went against a republican candidate.

What I care about is ideas and well thought through policies. Watching these debates actually gave me hope.
